It’s the half of the year and it’s amazing to see the Industry already blazing with new music after the year started unusually slow.

The underrated creatives are ruling the scene with their sonic records and the mainstream streams are slowly returning with new music.

BURNA BOY

Burna Boy has been impressive, constantly having a cruise control with his music release.

He’s had two official singles so far, Dangote and Anybody and also dropped an EP this year.

He’s been in the news, getting the awards with his last victory at the BET Awards and also readying his audience for his African Giant album.

But has he been the best so far?

WIZKID

Wizkid perhaps comes close or is probably leading.

He’s taken a break from the beginning of this year till March returning with Larry Gaaga record, “Low” and backing that with “Gbese“, the groovy DJ Tunez hit.

Made In Lagos almost ready and he’s also speculated to be on Beyonce‘s and Rihanna‘s album. Could it be true?

DAVIDO

Davido is there in the US perhaps pursuing a lost cause.

After ruling in 2017 with the back to basics movement, “Fall” is gaining a lot of interest and following in the US and his only musical efforts is the Zlatan assisted track, “Bum Bum“.

He’s had an album scheduled for the latter part of this year and who knows he could finally be the first Nigerian artist to have a song stop the Billboard Hot 100.

These three artistes are the highly rated Nigerian acts right now.
