Jamb18: JAMB 2018 Cut Off Mark To Be Decided In June

image

According to media reports, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board will decide the 2018 JAMB official cut-off mark for Admissions into tertiary institutions for the 2018/2019 academic session in June.

This was disclosed by The board’s Head of Media and Information Department, Fabian Benjamin, during an interview held in Lagos today.

He also stated that no Institution is allowed to Admit any student until the cut-off mark for admission has been decided, pointing out that any school admitting students before then, is doing so illegally
Mr Benjamin confirmed that the policy meeting will hold in June, and this will be chaired by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. It is clear that at this point, No Cut-Off Mark has been released by JAMB for 2018 Admissions.
No official date in June has been announced for this policy meeting.

For this year, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had earlier said the cut-off mark for the 2018 UTME would likely be 180 or 190. Note that for now, this is not yet decided. It could be less than 180.

Recall that last year, the JAMB official cut-off mark was pegged at 120 for universities, 110 for polytechnics and 100 for colleges of education.
